I love the sleeves and the detailing around the neckline, I think I would love it even more if it was green rather than baby blue though.

a very blurry daily dress....

as the little boy who took it was led fully stretched out watching cartoons and didn't feel the need to sit up for mum's daft clothes pictures!!

I found this dress in a charity shop last year and had whimsical dreams of wearing it in a sunflower field whilst walking bare foot and humming a little tune, but in reality its a bit see through and hasn't been warm enough to wear it until now.

girly days

I have been changing lately into a real girly girl, I'm loving petticoats and slips and really pretty skirts, this cute pink one I made myself, its lined and has shocking pink hand dyed net sewn around the hem, also on the hem are embroidered stars, its swirly, girly and fun!
Since being able to crochet (thank you for teaching me MB) I have been making over sized flowers just perfect for hair clips.

Fashion at the Met Costume Institute Gala

The stars were out in force for last night's fashion extravaganza in New York, the lovely J-Lo who I must admit I have not ever really been keen on her outfits, looked very lovely and sophisticated in the floor length Zuhair Murad dress, in the colour of the summer season according to some divas, shimmering, subtle, beautiful grey.

Carey Mulligan, starlet of the 2012 My fair lady film wore a very cute tonal Mui Mui dress, black tights and patent heels. I may try and replicate this at some point but not in lace, I really like the style of it and the over sized pockets.

The wow factor though was the adorable Katy Perry who lit up the proceedings in this awesome neon lit gown!

Hello lovelies, anyone out there?, I have been inspired by Dorothy and the over the rainbow show mixed with victorian school girl in this ensamble. I have the cutest red shoes on but they are cut off Grrr!

Hola sunny lovers !

Happy new year fashionistas, I bring you tidings of joy and sunshine in this bleak winter. I have a confession to make, I have fallen a little out of love with perry because my obsession for all things wonderful has been move to the phenomenon that is Lady Gaga, how divine is this creature who is exceptionally talented and also has some of the best costumes I have encountered for a long time without having to search bondage/unusual places.

In her new video Eh, Eh she looks very different and a behind the scenes documentary she tells us how she knows yellow is going to big and will feature highly in fashion this year and wanted her sunny side to come out to cheer us all up

Her creative yellow flower dress is very sunny and 50's reminiscent, but I'm not quite liking her other yellow outfits very much, this one is Tres' chic and I do love the shoes, but the colour is a bit dull and the padding does not hold the skirt part out as well as it should...

She looks very ethereal here and although the dress is beautiful in a sublime flowy way I think the colour makes her look washed out.

Onto the zingy side of yellow, complete opposite of mellow yellow above..

a bit too bright, crayon type colour for me, but it does make her skin tone look healthier.

Lady Gaga, I do so love you still and I do not mean to offend in my humble opinion xxxx

Now onto something different but still yellow, Kate Spade's designs are full of wit and playful sophistication and ooze charm, I am totally in adore of this 60's style A line dress but unfortunately like most great things you can't buy it here in blighty - Boo Hoo :(

Onto the collection spring/summer 2010 from Mr Alexander Mcqueen, very modern, geometric and slightly futuristic ( lots of angles/shoulder pads), this gorgeous dress with strapless bodice and over lace embroidered topper is just one of his lovely yellow creations
